THE ROLE

We're seeking a Director of Sales to lead our revenue generation efforts across sponsorships, partnerships, ticket sales, and group sales. This is a high-impact role where you'll build relationships, close deals, and help shape the commercial future of the club. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, well-connected in the West Michigan business community, and passionate about sports.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Identify, pitch, and close local and regional sponsorship and partnership deals
  • Drive individual and season ticket sales through outreach and community engagement
  • Develop and execute group sales strategies targeting businesses, organizations, and community groups
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective partners
  • Collaborate with club leadership on pricing, packages, and promotional strategies
  • Represent the Risers at community events and networking functions

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experience in sales, business development, or sponsorship (sports background a plus)
  • Strong network in the West Michigan business or nonprofit community
  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and results-based accountability
  • Passion for soccer and/or community sports
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

COMPENSATION

  • Based on experience: Range from Commission-only to Monthly Stipend. 
  • If results are proven, a salaried position is possible.
  • Timeframe of commitment is an estimate: August - February
