MUSKEGON – It has been about four years since the Muskegon Risers fielded a women’s indoor soccer team, and by the looks of it, they are ready for a full return for the 2027 season.

The Risers announced they will play three friendly games this season to prepare for a return to the MASL Women’s League next year.

After one contest, head coach Micheal Boogaart sure likes what he sees.

The Risers had a three-goal lead slip away late in the game, but managed to hold on for a 6-6 tie against Kalamazoo United FC on Saturday at Trinity Health Arena. Muskegon will return to action next Saturday to play Youngstown Nighthawks before closing the three-game exhibition season on Feb. 14 against the Cincinnati Sirens FC. All games will be at Trinity Health Arena.
