Risers Women Battle Big Against MW United

MUSKEGON – It may be just a small sample size, but let the truth be known: The Muskegon Risers women’s soccer team is ready for more competition next winter.

The Risers proved that during their three games of action, playing competitively in all the games, which were all close throughout.

Muskegon opened the season with a tie against Kalamazoo and a one-goal win over Youngstown.

On Saturday, it closed out with another tight victory, defeating Midwest United 6-5 at Trinity Health Arena.

The Risers finished with a 2-0-1 record, outscoring their opponents 19-17 during the three total games.
